"Gotta find my purpose...before its too late."

There is a song in the musical Avenue Q "Purpose" that has come to mind recently while I have been writing my Statement of Purpose for admission to Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD to the rest of you that like shortening school names). Disclaimer: its not one that you should let sensitive ears hear because there is a little bit of foul language.

Since I have begun my search for the perfect way to word this 500 word essay, I have recalled some times in life that I am glad I've been through both the good and the bad. I have found suggestive articles on statement writing and they want me to recall these successful and challenging times and somehow apply them to my paper. I am struggling with which ones to put in and if they are just trivial things to say. I know I'll figure it out, but I just wanted to vent a little.

To those of you that know me, you know that I am not a reader. If I am not a reader, I am really not a writer. That is why my posts will be short and probably random since I have a really short attention span and...see I did it again.

Enjoy this clip from Ave Q. Saw it on stage this past fall at TPAC and loved it. If it comes near you, please go see it without your kids unless they are teenagers.

So I just watched the opening to Walt Disney World via YouTube. It was amazing. It really made me want to be there. When something is done the Disney way, its done in a big way. The closing video I watched and it was amazing. There were 1076 musicians marching down Main Street, USA and they were directed by Meredith Wilson. It was amazing. He had the best "seat" in the house that day since he was surrounded by the music.

I must admit that I was moved by that video that I almost teared up, but I didn't. I just makes me want to go even more. There is not trip in sight right now, but I'm sure there will be one soon.

Below is the video I found wonderful. It is a little long, but it is still really cool. Enjoy!
